Walnut and White Painted Cabinetry in a traditional flush inset style. The contrast between white paint and dark walnut produce a stunning effect in this project. The flush inset doors and strategically placed “legs” created by extending vertical face frame members to the floor, give the space a feeling of being filled with fine furniture rather than the familiar built-in cabinetry. The white cabinets with their Shaker doors have a traditional American feel, while the unique door detailing and dark hues of the Walnut pieces echo Tansu cabinetry from Japan’s Edo period.
